I wanted to introduce A3H.org to Hawaiian activities vendors that are not aware of this organization and how it can support your small business. A3H.org stands for “Activities & Attractions Association of Hawaii” is a marketing and lobbying cooperative. The purpose of the organization is to promote Hawaii’s activities and attractions, foster professional and ethical conduct of activity and attraction businesses statewide, to advocate for consumer protection, actively lobby on behalf of the activities and attractions industry, to serve as an information resource for Hawaii’s activities and attractions and to encourage environmentally sound & culturally sensitive tourism statewide.
Members of A3H.org receive web listings (quality inbound links to your website are good!) featuring your activity or attraction, photos, video and contact information on www.HawaiiFun.org and the local resident page, www.kamaaina.org plus one of the four island-specific directories. Email leads are also generated for visitors requesting more information on specific activities and attractions. Membership also include a listing in the Island Guidebook mailed to pre-arriving visitors and distributed Statewide.
One of the most valuable features of membership with A3H.org that I perceive for small activities and attractions business is the web-based reservation system. A3H.org offers a web-based interface where you can upload your tour and activity schedules as well as capacity for each tour which can then be integrated into your existing website to provide visitors to your site with the option of checking availability and booking their activities and attractions online. Web users expect to be able to check availability and reserve their activities online so by providing online booking you should see a dramatic increase of conversions from your website.
There are a ton more options and features available through A3H.org, I encourage anyone running a small activities or attractions business in Hawaii to contact Toni Davis for more information or check out the following websites:
