New Restaurant on Kauai’s Eastside

Just wanted to help spread the word about a new restaurant that just opened in Kapaa town on Kauai.  “The Eastside” is run by brothers Dylan Scott and award winning Chef Jonathan Pflueger (no relation to Kauai’s infamous Jimmy Pflueger).  I would venture to say that the unique, high-quality, skillfully and meticulously prepared Island cuisine will soon create a flurry of recommendations for the best new place to enjoy a meal on Kauai.

They’ve created an inviting ambiance in the old Beezer’s Ice Cream Parlor location, right in the heart of Kapaa town.  They’ve only been open for five days and already they are filling every seat and sending patrons home raving!

My partner Paul, my daughter and I enjoyed an amazing meal a few nights ago.  We shared a variety of dishes including the basil seared Ahi, mochi rice flour dusted chicken, Ono Fish & Chips made with Molokai purple sweet potato, Misoyaki Mahi Mahi with a tasty avocado salsa and to my daughter’s delight we finished with a guava ginger Creme Brulee (her favorite dessert).  The flavors, the presentation and the attentive service were simply divine.  It’s definitely going on our list of favorite places to eat out.
