Tahitian Goddess Gifts from Hawaii

Featured Web Project:

I’ve had the pleasure to work with Beatrice Allen, on her newly purchased business and website, www.TahitianGoddess.com. Beatrice grew up cooking and creating with her family in Germany and she and her husband own the Dolphin Restaurant and Fish Market in Hanalei town.

Tahitian Goddess has been known for fine fruit jam, jelly, chutney and marmalade in the Islands since 1991.  Having recently purchased and relocated the business to Kauai, Beatrice will be continuing the Tahitian Goddess tradition by using only the finest, hand-selected Hawaiian fruit and vegetables, traditional cooking methods and finest ingredients in her Tahitian Goddess products.   All ingredients are locally grown and the guava products are grown and hand selected from the Allen’s own orchard in Hanalei.  If you are looking for a delectable gift handmade on Kauai and embued with the flavors of paradise, visit www.TahitianGoddess.com.

The old website can be viewed here.

The Challenge:

The old website although lovely in design, was slow to load, mostly image-based and not built using CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).  The site was not optimized to do well in the search engines either.

Emagine’s Solution:
I re-created the site using a CSS-based design as well as navigation, added descriptive image attributes to all of the images, made navigation throughout the site easier and added title, description and keyword tags for each page.  A PayPal shopping cart was added for online ordering of products.
