I have had the pleasure to work with many of Kauai’s organizations – ranging from leadership, economic development, Hawaiian culture and community associations.  Now more than ever, organizations are feeling the economic pinch as donations and funding are harder to secure.  Ning.com provides a free online social network product that most organizations will find very valuable.

Ning.com provides the means to build a community around an organization, topic or event.  A social network can be used for hosting group conversations around a cause or topic, posting events, projects, calls for volunteers/support and can feature photos, videos and/or podcasts.   Having a network on Ning.com can serve as a means of promoting your organization and website as well as to raise awareness for your cause or topic.

Ning.com currently hosts many kinds of social networks.  You can search Ning.com to find and subscribe to existing social networks that may interest you or you can start your own and invite your friends and the community to join.
