Expanding the WYSIWYG Editor in WordPress

If you are a WordPress user and are finding the writing area too small in the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor window, here’s how to make it bigger.  You can manually drag out the window by looking to the lower right hand corner for the three angled lines – hover over those lines and the cursor will turn into double arrows, click and drag those down to create more space for the post you are working on.

If you’d like to permanently have more space to write your posts, go to “Settings” and choose “Writing”.  Then at the top you’ll see a setting for “size of the post box”, change that to 30 lines instead of 10 and you’ll end up with more space to “breath” when you are creating your new posts.editor_screenshot
