I recently purchased a Flip Video camera from Costco for about $200. The High Definition video camera fits in the palm of my hand and comes with a small tripod. It has a built-in USB port that flips open to connect to my laptop for downloading and editting video clips. The video editting software that comes with the camera is super easy to use and it offers the ability to add multiple clips together, add sound tracks and share the video with friends and family via email. The software also provides an easy way to quickly upload finished videos to YouTube.com.
It doesn’t get much easier (or cheaper) than that for creating your own amateur videos. Adding video to websites, blogs and social media sites is gaining in popularity and helping sites to rank well in the search engines too. Think of the products/services you offer and consider how adding video could spark more interest for your business or organization. You could add a video testimonial from satisfied customers, shoot some video of your tour or vacation rental or use a video to show how your business uses “green” practices in it’s day to day activities. Another great way to use video on your site or blog is to do a demonstration of your service or a “how to”. Or maybe just a video clip of a personal message from you welcoming your potential clients to your website or blog….the possibilities are endless.

With the growth of sales in the US, it was only time when somone would make moves on the Flip Video , and last year Pure Digital Technologies was snapped up by Cisco for $590 million , this can only been great news for portable video camcorders market. I have a flip and use for famliy and work . For work i use it for PR and video uploads for Online Marketing , it’s easly use does make it a must thing to have.
I think the camera is cool and I have been using the Flip Mino and would concider upgrading to the Flip Slid HD. The problem is with the Flip Share software. It seems to not want to run on Windows Vista computers. Both my Vista 32 bit desktop and 64 bit laptop go into an endless loop at the Flip Share menu screen. Pure has no answer for me.
I actually have the regular Flip Mino, non-HD model, and from what you’re describing, I think I will upgrade to this.
