My latest web project was for Liz Fletcher of Paradise Beauty Salon & Spa in Kapaa Town. Liz’s existing website wasn’t performing in the search engines and did not capture the extent or essence of the wide range of beauty treatments that are offered at her salon.

Challenges:

Liz’s old website was located on a domain that was abbreviated (www.parabeauty.com) and she was using her Roadrunner email address which didn’t give her any “branding” benefit for her domain. I suggested we purchase another domain that included her keywords and that reflected her business better. We choose www.ParadiseBeautyKauai.com and then made sure we re-directed the old site pages to the new ones so as not to loose any existing search engine rankings (which were minimal, but still!). Liz is now using Google Apps (Gmail) for her domain-based email account which comes in handy when she’s traveling or needs to use a different computer than her own to check email. The new site is already ranking well for a wide variety of the targeted keywords that get the most use.
