Aloha and welcome to Emagine!  My name is Michelle Harrington and I am the founder of Emagine  – a website design, development and marketing company that helps small businesses expand their reach and increase sales online through innovative and effective  web marketing and optimization strategies.  I live on the Island of Kauai where I have resided since 1985.

My Story
I started out as a hobbyist building a website for our small construction business when the world wide web was in its infancy in 1995.  I was intrigued by the possibilities and opportunities that the web offered and in the years that followed I learned as much as I could about building websites – through online & offline courses and study.  I started building sites for friends and family in my spare time and soon found that I really enjoyed using the mixed skill set of design and technology.

Eventually it became apparent to me that building a business around something I enjoyed so much was a very good idea, so I let my passion for design, my acquired marketing skills and my entrepreneurial drive take over and I formally launched Emagine Website Design in 2001.  I had a handful of mentors and friends who encouraged me, shared what they knew and helped me find my way as a new website developer and business owner and to them I will always be extremely grateful.

Evolving Scope of Services
It all started out so simple.  I loved building websites and so I did – for many small businesses and organizations that needed them.  But over time web design turned into search engine optimization, which turned into search engine marketing, which turned into social media and local search marketing which has since evolved into reputation management.  It’s be an evolutionary learning process that has been intense to keep up with but has kept me challenged and intrigued.    These days much of my time is devoted to search engine optimization and managing search marketing and social media campaigns for a select group of clients.  To more accurately reflect the evolving scope of web marketing services that I provide, the name of my company has evolved too, into Emagine Web Marketing.

I have a proven record of achievement in design, implementation, optimization and  project management.  I listen to my clients and provide affordable, effective and expandable solutions and involve them in the process as each project unfolds.  I pay close attention to the details and I value honesty and integrity.  Every Emagine client gets my individual attention and the value of on-going customer support.

Demystifying the web for small businesses.
